Hockey is a fast-paced sport that requires a combination of physical and mental skills. While many athletes focus on honing their offensive abilities, such as stickhandling and shooting, it is important for them to also learn how to play defense. Here are a few reasons why:
1. Teamwork: Defense is a crucial part of the game and it requires players to work together as a team to stop the opposing team from scoring. By learning how to play defense, athletes will learn the importance of communication and teamwork, which are valuable skills within the game as well as other areas of their lives as well.
All Competitive Thread hockey camps have been carefully designed by professional trainers and coaches to identify player’s core competencies and infuse them with the tools necessary for reaching the highest level of athletic success on and off the ice.
